Tribeca Film Festival

So the Tribeca Film Festival started last week on April 20. I have wanted to go to this festival for a long time but I was always in school when it came around. Hopefully, I will be able to attend the festival some time within the next couple of years. This event has given up and coming director, producers and actors reach the to the masses to put their work on display. The artists can cross lines of color, content, and creativity, giving them the world for their canvas. Here are a few clips of some of the filmaker's work:

Maggie Betts: The Carrier

Brother's Justice

Jack Was Such a Gentleman

Last Friday,I went to Art, Beats + Lyrics. This was one of the dopest events I have been to in long time. Me and a few of my friends were in attendance, along with a very diverse crowd. There were people of all ages there to enjoy the art work, music and
FREE Gentleman Jack Daniels and food. It was an interesting mix of b-boying and dee jaying that filled the night with dancing, great music and a lot of fun. There were a few musical performances including a special performance from Cali MC Kendric Lamar, who had the crowd rocking for the latter part of the night.

Also, Check out some of the artists that performed

It's Monday morning and I am fresh off of spring break. I had a busy break but I did get some relaxation in. I am energized and ready to start writing again. I guess sometimes you have to take a mental break and revamp your perspective on things every once in a while. I'm going to be adding some new things to the blog to give you a broader picture of how I remain sane and what other avenues young entrepreneurs are taking on their journey to success. Look for the new additions and let me know what you think!

It's Been A While

I know it's been a long time but we're back. New site, new look, and better content. I will still be chronicling my journey to become a young, black entrepreneur but I'm going to add some other things that help me navigate through my path. For those who have been with me from the beginning, thank you so much for the support. For others, I hope you will find the new feel unique and hopefully you will want to keep up. Stay tuned for the NEW Misadventures of a Young, Black Entrepreneur!
