Playing the Waiting Game
It's often said that good things come to those who wait. Well I have been waiting and one of those good things is getting ready to happen. I went on a few interviews with one of the largest real estate investment companies in the country. all I'm doing now is sitting back and waiting on a decision. But how long should I sit on the sideline? When should I start exercising my other options? I have been debating that for the last couple of weeks so I think it's about that time...
"I Drove by the Fork in the Road and Went Straight."
The title is a line quoted from Jay-Z on "Renagades." How do you know what you want to be in life, which direction you want to go in? Some people know from a very young age exactly what path they want to take and how they are going to get there. Others spend their whole lives trying to figure out what their purpose is on this planet. But how do you figure that out? Here are some tips about how you might be able to find the path to your destiny.- Meditate/Pray. Regardless of your religious views, you need time to yourself to figure out what you want. Creating an atmosphere where your mind is free of clutter so that you can sort out your thoughts is key to creating order. Everyone needs some alone time.
- Read/Write. Reading will always and forever be the path to learning so make sure you do as much of it as possible. The more you read the more you will understand about how you and world around you functions. Writing is one of the best skills to have. If you can control and manipulate words, opportunities will open up for you ten fold. It also is a tremendous release of stress and creativity when needed. All you need is a pen and paper.
- Explore. The only way that you are going to be able to find out what you were put here to do is to explore your options. The more you are out of your comfort zone, the more you will learn about your capabilities. Travel and try new things.
- Mistakes. Be willing to make mistakes because they are going to happen anyway. You can't avoid them. The goal is to learn from them and get better at whatever it is that you are doing.
- Just Do It. Like the famous Nike slogan, you are never going to know unless you do it.
Try some of these techniques out and let me know how it turns out. Peace.
A Few Short Words
Every few days my grandfather hands me this book called Acts of Faith by Ivanla Vanzant. It has inspirational passages in it that are particular to certain subjects for every day of the year. The messages usually hit the nail on the head every time. The crazy thing is that my grandfather always seems to know when I have something on my mind that needs some type of clarification. And all he does come to me on occassion, hand me the book and say, "read today's message." It hits home every time. It's amazing how a simple paragraph can bring some seemingly complicated things into perspective.

The Wheels Keep Turning
Jim-"I have an idea! I'm going to invent a square wheel!"
Sean- " Why not put the square on top of the wheel so that you can ride it?"

Jim- "No, no. I got it! Even better. Why don't I put the square on top of the wheel so people can ride in it?!"
Sean-" I just said that."
We come up with great ideas everyday. Some of them are just wishful thinking, others have paved the way for the advancement of human kind. When it comes to business though, you don't always have to invent something brand new. You don't always have to create something that " no one has ever seen before." Sometimes you just need to innovate. Make improvements to an already existing idea. Find your niche in the market that you choose and become an expert at it.
Musicians do it all the time. There are plenty of people who make music but there are many genres, styles, and variations that you can specialize in. Just make a decision and improve upon it. Find your own lane to put the wheel in. I'm in the process of doing that with my real estate venture. It's a lot easier said than done but it CAN and will be done. I just need to take it to the next level. All you have to do is make it happen people!
Project Based or Hourly Based Pay?
Which one would you prefer? Some businesses pay by the hour while others pay by the project.
Depending on the structure of the business, one might work better than the other. But as an employee, which one would you prefer? One is performance based while the other is the amount of hours put in.
Quality more so over quantity or vice versa?
Leave some comments and let me know how you feel.

The Road Less Traveled
One of the things that I promised myself that I was going to do was to make sure I don't multi-task too much. So far, when I have tried to think about more than one thing at a time, I usually don't accomplish much. Over the past few months, I have been training myself to devote my task to one thing at a time. It's been difficult but I am making progress. I began making a schedule to follow everyday and so far, I have been sticking to it. Once I get better with it, I can start adding things that I think are necessary.I have also came to grips with the fact that my path is uniquely my own. I have tried to go the route that others have went and it hasn't worked yet and will never work. Most of the things I want to do will take time but I'm willing to be patient.

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year! I am blessed to say that I have made it to the new year and have so many things that I am looking forward to experiencing. I hope everyone had a great holiday and I want to thank you for your support of this site. I do this for you!I know people normally do the whole "new year resolutions" list but it hasn't worked for me as of yet. So the word for the year is ACTION. Even if the outcome doesn't go as planned, my attitude is to make it happen. Last year had its highs and its lows: graduation (high), moving back home (low).
All in all, I learned a lot about myself and what my dreams are. Things are becoming more clear everyday. I'm getting more focused and determined on achieving my goals. I'm beginning to find my purpose. They are becoming more tangible and realistic as time goes by. I will be more attentive to you guys because it is your continued interest in becoming entrepreneurs that drives me to keep this up.
